Breed Appreciation Day – Thursday 16th July 2026
The Barbet Club of GB will be holding it’s second, Breed Appreciation Day (BAD) on Thursday 16th July 2026. This will be in the evening and online as our previous one, held on the 22nd May 2024.
The BAD will give anyone who wishes to judge Barbets and progress through the Judges Education Programme levels (JEP) – once off the Import Register – an understanding of the breed, together with the integral multi-choice exam (MCE). Presenter at this BAD will be Carolyn Adkins-Fry.
It will consist of an overview of the history and purpose of the breed and an explanation of the UK Breed Standard.
Whilst designed for judges, it is open to all and is an opportunity to learn more about our wonderful breed. (Non judges attending will not sit the exam (MCE).

The Barbet Club of GB will be present at All About Dogs, Newbury on Sunday 12th April 2026. Come along to our stand, meet barbets and chat to their owners.
